Comet Lulin- C/2007 N3

Comet Lulin was discovered by discovered by Ye Quanzhi and Lin Chi-Sheng of Lulin Observatory in Nantou, Taiwan on July 11, 2007. This is an image of the comet as it appeared on February 23, 2009. More information about Comet Lulin can be found in the Wikipedia entry here.

This image is a 30 second exposure captured with a Canon 350D at ISO 1600 through an 80mm Orion Short Tube refractor. Very limited processing was applied.
