NGC7331 - Galaxy in Pegasus


NGC7331 (also cataloged as Caldwell 30) is a galaxy in the constellation Pegasus estimated to be approximately 40 million light-years away from Earth. More information about this galaxy can be found here.  Click on the image for a larger version.

Recording system: Canon 350D Digital Camera.
Exposure time:
Telescope: 9.25-inch SCT, guided with 50mm guide scope, QHY5 camera and PHD.  Twenty-nine images, one dark and one light stacked in Deep Sky Stacker; saturation increased by 30% and histogram lightly stretched in Deep Sky Stacker; Star Tools used to further stretch, color adjust and sharpen.  Final tweaking with curves in Photoshop.
